Friends and I go to Mt. Rainier in early Sep. to get
chanterelles, and we pick morels near the Stuck and Puyallup
Rivers in the spring. Good stuff. I can imagine the findings
are great on the peninsula. Unfortunately there are only so
many to go around (like salmon) and it is becoming crowded out
there. The situation will undoubtly become more inflamed in
years to come, and regulation will probably follow.
