Saturday, we dropped our daughter off at UW and went on to Ocean Shores. OS
was quiet. The most interesting bird was a Peregrine at Damon Point. It
was immature and banded (Right leg: aluminum band and left leg, 2 black
bands K on top and T below) Anyone can forward this data on to where it
needs to go.

On the way home to Richland, we went to Tokeland. At the Marina, among 300+
Marbled Godwits, we observed 1 winter, adult Bar-tailed Godwit at the RV
convenience store. It later flew to the shoreline near the fishing dock.
Also there were Whimbrel and 6 Willets.

Along Route 6 around 6:30 pm, we saw THREE White-tailed Kites. The first
was just west of Green Creek Road (MP 9, yellow house with red roof). the
second was just W of McKinney Road near LeBam at MP 14. Both of these were
flying. The third was perched very close to the road just east of Elk
Prairie Rd, MP 20. It had a kill. Glad to have found these on our fourth
try this year!
