Hi Tweets,

A quote and a warning:

Shirley Weslander: "I hope all the concerned birdwatchers are
vegetarians, or they are all just hypocrites."

We may be on the brink of an e-mail storm that will make us pine for the
days of limericks (actually, some of us do pine for those days, but you know
what I mean).

If you want to discuss cat control with people who think that eating meat
is cruel and unusual, then you might want to do it in their group rather
than on tweeters.

If you reply to a post such as the one I culled the above quote from,
make sure you check the To: and Cc: lines of your reply to confirm that
you are sending your message to the group(s) you intend it to reach.
"Crossposting," i.e., sending the reply to both groups, might be a good
way to start the first "flame war" ever on the commendably civilized
Tweeters group.

I may be overreacting, overestimating the lung power and persistence of
the local cat friends group. Probably I am. But I've been on animal
rights mailing lists (I don't know how or why they chose me), and
reasoned discussion was not the forte of those writing the newsletters I
received. Beware!
