Subject: Newt Nearly Killed by Goose

This morning NPR announced that the Speaker had a close call yesterday.
It seems a goose was sucked into the engine of his private jet yesterday
during takeoff from Mackinaw Island airport. Takeoff was aborted and the
plane ran off the end of the runway.

The incident has some Hitchcockian overtones in the context of the
Republicans all out assault on environmental legislation.
