Does anyone remember a recent note, maybe on Birdchat, saying that some
prominent scientists like Edward O. Wilson and Stephen Gould had taken
Newt aside and were quietly educating him? In spite of his political
stance and his unscrupulous personal behavior, one gets the impression
that he's reasonably intelligent and educable. Let's hope.
