Re, the question about swift nest sites....

Someone had asked about the Zymo smokestacks. Actually, we didn't
particularly want them, but the Historical Society said they had to
there. Only one of them is a functioning smokestack (so I've been told)
and I'm not sure about swifts nesting in any of them. A good person to
start with might be the Facilities Manager, Tim Mason, at 422-6780.
Someone told me they thought birds had nested in them, but as I don't
work at that building but rather in the old building at 42nd and
Roosevelt Way, I can't confirm that.
