Folks,

The violet-green swallows have finally arrived at the Marina District of
Des Moines WA; saw a small flock on the wires and over my condo complex.
Glad to see'um! Also, as of this morning the white-crowned sparrows have
started singing. They do not winter in our immediate marina area, so, I'm
assuming this can be assigned their "arrival" day. A white-crowned
sparrow was also singing from somewhere within the Burien Park 'n Ride
early this morning. Perhaps a wave of them has arrived in the last 24
hrs. As common a sparrow as they are, can someone give information about
the white-crowned sparrow's resident/seasonal status in the Puget Sound
