Effects (CSEEE) at

Excerpts from the WEB page:

The Center for the Study of Environmental Endocrine Effects was
established in 1994 to begin examining the emerging issue of potential
effects of man-made or generated "endocrine disruptors" or "hormone
mimics" on human and wildlife health -- principally cancers,
reproductive system disorders, fertility, immune system dysfunction,
and neurological problems. A draft paper containing an overview of the
current state of scientific knowledge and uncertainties is available
from the Center and is referenced in this database. ...

The research program of the Center is guided by a Science Panel
comprised of academic scientists with recognized expertise in human
health and environmental endocrine effects. ...

The fundamental mission of the Center is to provide objective and
unbiased scientific information on the "environmental endocrine
modulators" issue to government officials, the media, and the general
public. It pursues this mission through the following mechanisms:
* preparation of periodic reports updating the state of the science
* identifying and clearly defining research needs, and funding
studies that the Science Panel determines will meet those needs
* educating the media, including participation in programs carried
out at schools of journalism, and funding such programs
* developing and maintaining a publicly-accessible database that
includes key scientific studies and commentary, research under
way, policy developments, media coverage, significant upcoming
events, and involved organizations.

............

The draft overview paper provides a very balanced discussion of the
issues, with extensive references.

For those who may be interested.
