Besides all of the arguments that came up re: for and against netting
Montlake Phil, netting the parakeets would pose an interesting dilemma:
If you were to net and band them, would it be ethical to re-release
an introduced species? Speaking hypothetically, of course, since I
doubt that any tweet would dare to net any bird 'belonging' to tweeters
after the Montlake Phil uproar!
