Hi Tweetsters (thanx to whover came up with that term!),

I've noticed that the Violet-green Swallows which nest in my neighborhood
arrive to do so at least a month after the first pioneer migrant VG's come
in, in late February. Over the years, I've been able to average the arrival
date of the residential VG's to April 04.

This morning, while I stood at the bus stop, 3 VG's cruised overhead. The
Great Wheel turns again.

And I just *love* it when a piece of the pattern shakes free from the
general moosh, falling like a fresh-cut diamond at one's feet. Even if
these little guys are as predictable as commuters catching the 7:45 train
into the city, it's so cool to know when my little buddies come back.
