>From our April 3 lunchtime outing:

6 Northern Shovelers (4 male, 2 female)
10+ Mallards
8 Buffleheads (5 male, 3 female)
2 Canada Geese
2 Kestrels (hanging out in tree or on pole by pumphouse)

Even more exciting were the plethora of raptors sitting the poles between
Moscow and Genesee. We counted 15 raptors, not counting the heaps of
Kestrels. Seemed to be mostly Red-tails, but we weren't stopping (that
stretch of the highway is VERY cop-heavy, and I don't like to attract too
much attention to myself!)
