Janet and I were treated to a flock of 12 Evening Grosbeaks in our yard
yesterday. They enjoyed the new buds on the trees and partook of a few
sunflower seeds.

A new addition to our yard list, they stayed around quite a while really
making our day. We had hoped to go hiking or x-c skiing Sunday but were
unable to. The grosbeak visit certainly cured our disappointment.

ps. The pair of V-G swallows has returned to nest again in the bird house
we have with the 'sparrow restrictive' opening.
