Hello fellow tweets:

Today, Monday, April 15, two band-tailed pigeons came in to feed in our
backyard. This is not the first year we've seen them. A female mallard fed
every morning and evening for five days last week. One evening she was
accompanied by a a male, but he didn't return. The pileated woodpecker
continues to call frequently. The pileated has been in the neighborhood for
several years. The female hairy woodpecker continues to feed at the suet.
We've seen a female hairy continuously since last June. The female downy is
less frequent, but seen daily, along with towhees, an occasional junco, plus
song sparrows, black-capped and chestnut-backed chickadees, rufous
hummingbirds, nuthatches, and the 6-8 pine siskins that take nesting material
from a hanging mesh sock. Look forward to the young ones.

Tweeters is now on postpone, as we're off to see the shorebirds! Happy
birding!
