It seems there's nothing like a series of nocturnal downpours to liven up
the backyard migrant watch. Between 6 and 7 this morning there was a
quasi-fallout here in West Seattle. Observed were: 1 Orange-crowned Warbler,
a singing Ruby-crowned Kinglet, a White-crowned Sparrow (a "crowned" hat
trick!), a Hermit Thrush, and not one, but *two* Townsend's Solitaires. Who
needs High Island!
