Heya Tweets,

It probably isn't a big deal for most of you guys, but we saw a
Hairy Woodpecker (female) near Robinson Park by Moscow, Idaho. It's a
lifer for us, so we were quite excited. The same place is host to tons of
chickadees, a very gregarious group of American goldfinches, some House
finches, a very fast Accipter spp. who likes House finches, at least one
Nuthatch, a noisy Flicker, and possible shrikes. We saw all of this from
the comfort of our car, without having to move a muscle. Very cool.

To find the place, head from Moscow towards Robinson Park. Rather than
turning right towards the park entrance, continue straight on the road
until it reaches a loop (there's a sign posted there). Go to the left and
check out the small woods across from the land with all of the birdhouses
put up. It's amazingly diverse in its species and the last two times
we've gone, we've been very impressed with the turnout.
