On Wednesday morning, May 8, I was greeted by a flock of 20 Western
Tanagers in my yard. I heard them coming before I saw their bright
yellow bodies, black wings, and red heads. They flew from tree to tree,
chasing one another, and chatting loudly. It was a big first for me.
They stayed in the yard for 20 minutes before continuing on their trip.
I am a little disappointed that I haven't seen one since, but at least I
have several pictures to show my husband.
