I spent Saturday/Sunday in Tokeland and vicinity birding and antiquing. The
good weather did not follow us down to the coast. It was nice for the
mountain bikes though to go on a tour without ever leaving the bumper. We
did not see a great variety of shorebirds but Bottle Beach on Sunday night
was pretty spectacular regardless. This is my 3rd trip there during spring
migration and though a few species were missing this year the numbers were
pretty good. We were in great moods anyway since this was the only 3
hours it didn't rain and the Corona and cheese definitely helped the viewing
(highly recommended). We stopped at the Raymond Airport but had no luck
locating the Kite (0 for 5).
