1 alt. plumage Western Sandpiper at ML Fill Sat noon (who needs Bowerman
Basin?). Canada Geese have broods now here also; note that two are
nesting on the loosestrife clumps, and that these clumps are budding out
with loosestrife on them.

1 Black-throated Gray Warbler singing at Seward Park Sunday 1100 AM
1 Vaux's Swift near Seward Park Sunday 1030 AM
1 parakeet entering nest cavity and remaining for at least 15 minutes
(after which I left) at Seward Park 1045AM. After much debate with Dennis
Paulson and Fred Bird, the ID of these birds is still undecided.
Hybridization in captivity is also known to occur, so all efforts may
prove to be inconclusive!
Cowbirds also at Seward today.
