Hi tweets, a Vesper Sparrow was at the Fill tonight. This is a rare bird
these days in western Washington. It was on the gravel path at the
intersection of the wood-chipped path near the easternmost pond (I believe
it's called 'Shoveler Pond'). Chestunut shoulder patch and white outer
tail feathers easily seen at about 15 ft. in great light.

Also, the tiny shorebird population here is fluctuating with migrants. A
single Western Saturday morning, this morning 1 Western and 6 Leasts, and
tonight only a single Dunlin to be found (Killdeer excluded).

I would think the 'orchard' around the Center for Urban Horticulture would
be a good place to check for vagrant warblers. That area is crawling with
Yellow-rumped Warblers. I spent some time picking through them this
morning.
