Hello Tweeters:
I will be taking my first Pacific Northwest birding trip in early June
[1-8 ]. I would like to visit Olympic National Park, Mt. Rainier
National Park, Vancouver and or Victoria, British Columbia. I
would like to stay on the west side of the Cascades and I will be
camping so I can stay at just about any state park or campground.
Can any of you suggest a route, places to stay and good birding
areas to include the National Parks ? I know that migration will be
ending by the first week of June and most of the wintering water
birds will be up north. I am hoping the there will be a few that will
stay around into June. There will not be to many life birds to chase
but the Northwest Crow and Tufted Puffin would be lifers.
Thanks for any help or suggestions you can make. I just got A Guide to
Bird Finding in
Washington and the guide for the Vancouver area so I can study the locations.
