Paul Roberts, relatively famous American linguist writing about
Transformational grammar, had this to say about Who & Whom:

*If you use Who when you should have used whom, people will
think you ignorant. If you use Whom when you should have used
Who, they'll think you not only ignorant, but pretentitious as
well.* :)
