Interesting morning on the Sammammish River Trail...

Active hatch of insects coming off the water. Large numbers of Cedar
Waxwings flycatching along with mixed group of swallows. Suddenly we were
"up close and personal" with several dozen Black Swifts, often flying
within ten feet of us. Great opportunity to observe.

Two sightings of American Bittern, first flying and then landing.
