Brian posted me privately yesterday in response to my remark about the
continuing oiled bird thread. He suggested it was a shoddy thing to do.

What I really meant was that the rehab thread in general had gone on,
seemingly, forever and I have grown tired of it. Perhaps, as I told him, it
is because I have become emotional about the whole thing and feel that I've
been told that everything that I hold important and believe in is not worth
a shit; a waste of time, money and effort.

However, I was wrong in not specifying my discontent with the thread in
general, not his work in particular. So I owe him an apology.

I am sorry, Brian. I shall try and phrase my remarks better in the future.
