This is Dale Goble with an early version of the northern Idaho / eastern
Washington / northeastern Oregon bird hotline.
I'm a day early this week. If there is anything exciting that appears on
the tape today or tomorrow, I will update it on Monday when I return
from a quick trip to the coast.
Michael Willison and Wes McKey did a "big day" trip from Walla Walla
to Cheney and back. The best site was Steptoe Butte State Park. They
found a BEWICK'S WREN and 2 BANDTAILED PIGEONS did a fly-by.
The park also hosted TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE, WILLOW and
CORDILLERAN FLYCATCHERS. At Hole-in-the-Ground they found a
TURKEY VULTURE and at Ewan they found a SOLITARY SANDPIPER.
Good birding.
