Tweets, it seems that more and more commercial email 'spam' is ending up
in my mail-box. One source of this is people who review our subscription
list and then send all of us some junk email that we don't need or want.
One solution of course is to not make a review list available. But the
other might be a cooperative 'counter-spam' effort. I just got some junk
from the 'Internet Yellow Pages', whoever that is. So since he took the
liberty of sending me his junk, I sent him 20 copies of the WOS convention
announcement, stripped of the email and phone addresses which were found
in it. Wouldn't it be a kick if he showed up.

Well folks, this is my big day - I'm getting married tonight. After that
we'll be in Puerto Vallarta for almost two weeks. Will post a bird list
upon my return (though surely it won't be very long!), but will be out of
touch until then.

Ospreys have been frequenting the shore of Lake Washington in the Seward
Park area for the past two weeks, seen just about every day.

The (as yet still unidentified) parakeets are still around, up to six
being seen at one time, and still a handful of reports about them entering
nest cavities. But I think it will have to wait until we see more than
seven to say whether or not they nested there this year.
