Hello Tweets,

Tom Foote was speculating whether Turkey Vultures seen
last weekend along Hood Canal were migrants or not. Saturday
in the Grays Harbor area of Washington a friend and I saw at least
4 TV's...3 at Bottle Beach near Westport and 1 just to the East
closer to South Aberdeen. I'll guess, without any real evidence,
that they're early migrants. Someone with access to the Web might
look at the WA Breeding Bird Atlas and see if they nest in Grays
Harbor Co. (This Model T of a computer doesn't cruise that hiway)

Also in the Grays Harbor area lately are numbers of Red
Crossbills. David Beatty of Hoquiam says they've been around his
place regularly for about a month now. We saw a few over the
Hoquiam Sewage Ponds and at least 1 pair at Bottle Beach.
