Hi folks,

This past Sunday the 18th at about 11a.m., I saw a 'flock' of at least 4 =
Monk Parakeets (Myiopsitta monachus) flying about the neighborhood of =
Three Tree Point, just south of Seahurst (Burien), King County. I had =
not previously seen these birds in the area, although it had been since =
about June since I'd walked/birded down to the point... They are hard =
to miss - they are loud, large, and green (with white cheeks/throats and =
blue primaries). They were flying mostly from the shore pines of one =
yard to the shrubbery of another about a 'block' away.

Are there other groups of these parakeets in the region? The exotics =
rarely get much mention on Tweeters, but I would hope that someone is =
keeping track of these things.
