Bill & Nancy reported on Aug 1`5:

I noted the first Wilson' Aug 3 at Greeley Pond near the height of land
between the Yakima River and Columbia River basins on the Yakima Training
Center + many other migrants such as flycatchers, Warbling Vireos and
tanagers. I visited the area again 10, 11, 18, 22 August and have found many
migrants on each visit. Unusual thus far include a White-breasted Nuthatch
(22nd), my first away from conifers or oakls in WA, an exceptionally early
(or is it) Townsend's Solitaire, warblers of 5 species, many, many Warblers
Its preliminary but it seems clear a very pronounced migration is occurring
at higher elevations over this part of eastern Washington on many days when
it is not apparent at valley bottom elevations. I find this exciting and
will continue to check these isolated riparian sites at regular intervals
this fall.

If serious birders wish to share this wonderful place and assist, please
post directly to me. Sunday am will be my most usual day afield.
