I have to admit that I am responsible for telling this spurious tale a
number of times over the years, without regard for its truth. There is
something irresistable about it - maybe the mental picture it creates. Not
kind but funny anyway - like ma nature's funniest home videos? I know I
didn't get it from the net, so it has also spread along the more
traditional sources of modern folktales.
