The Snowy Owl reported at Broughton Beach neXt to Portland
Airport has apparently moved elsewheres.......since several trips to
this location has failed to reveal this owl. A lady in Vancouver,
Wash. reported on a sighting of the owl in this city......so apparently
the owl is still around. If anyone elso sights this alusive bird, please
inform me, as I am still hunting for it!!!!!! A trip this last
week along Lower River Road west of Vanc. Wash.........along the
Columbia River to the south end of Ridgefield Wildlife Refuge revealed
the following sightings: Hooded Mergansers(many!!!!) Eared
Grebe(one) No. Shovelers Lesser Scaups Canada
Geese(hundreds!!!) Pintails Mallards Tundra
Swans Trumpeter Swans Great Blue Herons(several)
Double-crested Commorants(about a dozen) No. Harrier Hawk
Red-tailed Hawk(one!!) Scrub Jays Robins Dark-eyed
Juncos(many) Red-winged Blackbirds(many) Dunlin
Imnature Bald Eagle Western Grebe(two) Gerald
Hamilton Brush Prairie, Wash.
