Some of you may have heard rumors (or phone calls
from Mike Denny) of a possible immature Little Blue
Heron west of Walla Walla. Well, forget it. I watched
the birdy this morning, and it's a Cattle Egret, NOT a
Little Blue Heron. Mike and MerryLynn Denny also
saw it (on their way to the airport to fly to Costa Rica,
the bums).

Sigh. No new state bird for me today. Maybe
tomorrow . . .
