Today I went looking for the Snowy Owls at Damon Point. Boy, was I
successful! Twelve for sure, maybe fifteen. They were exactly where reported.

Later, south of Elma on highway 12 I spotted a flock of 100 Trumpeter Swans
mixing with a large number of Northern Pintails and a few Mallards in a
field. There may have been others as well but I forgot my scope at home and
the flock was too far away to tell for sure.

A few miles later I spotted a Bald Eagle in a Douglas Fir by the highway.
