Hi Tweeters,

The Yakima CBC on Saturday was quite a success with good weather, a new high
species total of 82 and two new "count" species.

The new species were Peregrine Falcon (1) and Yellow-headed blackbird (2).
Three species were seen that had only been found on the count one year out
of the previous twenty-six: Double-crested Cormorant (2), Barred Owl (1)
and Lincoln's Sparrow (4). Returning after a thirteen-year absence was
Lewis' Woodpecker (8).

Other sightings of note were: Gray Partridge (14), Mountain Chickadee (1),
Townsend's Solitaire (1) and Brown Creeper (5).
