This is Kas Dumroese with the northern Idaho / eastern Washington /
northeastern Oregon bird hotline.

Larry Marsh reports a NORTHERN HAWK-OWL was on the campus of
the Upper Columbia Academy in Spangle, WA, on Dec 16. The bird was
seen twice that morning but efforts to relocate it were unsuccessful.

At Mann Lake, east of Lewiston, ID, last Sat, Dec 14, were 3 DUNLIN
and a very late LEAST SANDPIPER. Also there was an adult-plumaged
BALD EAGLE. Mann Lake is now mostly frozen and the shorebird status
questionable.

Amy and John Roberson saw a single TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE in the
Military Hill section of Pullman, WA on Dec 15 & 17. Look around the
intersection of Orion & Kenny.

Look for BLUE JAYS in Moscow, ID on the north-northeast end of town.
Three to four birds are north of Homestead, east of Polk, west of
Orchard. Listen for them around Leith, just off F Street.

Good birding!
