A couple of days before the storm I had a Merlin in a tree across the gully
from my house. On Christmas day I had a pair of Bald Eagles fly by about 50'
from my house (so my brother-in-law says, I was too busy cooking), and
yesterday I was able to show my grandchildren Spotted Towhees and Varied
Thrushes up on my deck feeder. They usually are at my ground feeder which is
now deep in snow.
