Subject: signing off for a while

Tweets: I'm unsubscribing as of this afternoon. I'm teaching a class at
UPS this semester, something I do for only 4 months each year, but it adds
20-30 hrs/week on top of what was already a full schedule, and there
doesn't seem to be much give. So in the interest of my mental health, for
a while, I'm signing off. E-mail fun is one area that I can sacrifice and
gain back a little bit of time. Now I have to figure out what else I can
give up.
I'm completely addicted to tweeters, in the sense that I read the posts, I
respond to them, I really try to be serious about it. And it really takes
a fair amount of time. I can't do digests or casual browsing; maybe I'm an
all-or-nothing personality type. I'll *really* miss the feeling of
community, and I may tune in from time to time (probably won't be much of a
success as a lurker, though). If not sooner, I'll be back in a few months.
I can still be reached, of course, for any personal mail, and if anyone
wants to forward to me some particularly wonderful post from tweeters, I'd
love it. Thanks for being such good friends.
