------===== WELCOME TO WADERS-L ======-------

MEMBERSHIP of Waders-l, a listserver for anyone interested in
waders, is not restricted in any way -professionals and amateurs
are welcome to join the discussion group.

The listserver has been initiated in February 1996 to help
'waderologists' exchange information and keep in contact on a
worldwide basis.

Examples of its (potential) uses are requests for and offers of
information, ideas, data and collected material (such as skeletal
and soft-tissue samples), advertising employment, bursary,
fellowship and volunteer opportunities, notices of meetings,
availability of written materials (e.g. expedition reports,
books, proceedings, reprints), etc.

In order to post a message you send the message I.e - to post a
message you write to this address:

WADERS-L at UCT.AC.ZA

When you post a message you will NOT receive a copy yourself.

Please note the following:

1. Any signatures in a request (command) to the server will be
regarded as an error, so you will receive your request as well
as a second message with an error. To avoid this please don't
send a signature with your message or put the following
(lower case): -- (yes, two dashes) under your last command
line in the body of the message.

2. The server will not accept any messages with the word "test" in
the subject line.

You have been added to the list waders-l at uct.ac.za.
The system has recorded your e-mail address and in order for your
messages to get posted (if the list accepts postings), you have
to send them from this address. If a message is ever rejected,
please contact the list's owner:
Rene Navarro (trauco at maths.uct.ac.za)
or Les Underhill (lgu at maths.uct.ac.za)

All interactions will run on commands that are written in the first
line of the BODY of the message that you send to the listserver.
Please note that signatures will generate an error message as well.
To avoid this please type: -- under the command line.

For information on this service and how to use it, send the
following request in the body of a mail message to
listserver at uct.ac.za:
