Hi Tweets, I had two wet parakeets in my yard yesterday (down by Seward
Park). Now, I'm not very experienced in psittacines, so I was wondering
if anyone could tell me if I saw the Seattle Crimson-fronted Parakeets,
or something else. The birds were almost identical to the NGS picture of
Green Parakeet, except they had a red patch on the front of the head,
down to the bill. Everything else looked the same - white eyering, long
tail, green overall except the head. The shape is exactly like the Green
Parakeet (in fact if not for the red forehead it would be picture-perfect
Green Parakeet).
