Normally Issaquah Creek is about 100 feet from my office. By this evening,
it was five feet away. Bird sightings today included...
A pair of Common Mergansers surfing down the main stem of the creek...
Two Canada Geese swimming upstream across what was the office lawn. I'd swear
they had puzzled looks on their faces...
My usual crew of nine or so Steller's Jays calling from the tree above the
spot where my feed is usually placed. Couldn't seem to figure out what
the water was doing down there.
One Varied Thrush feeding along the edge of the rising water. Moved it really
close to the window.
Bright spots in an otherwise hectic day!

Issaquah, WA to have my senses put in tune once more."
