When we were in Central California over Christmas, it seemed like every
other bird was a Black Phoebe! There was one in the tree outside our room
at the hotel, there was one near the pond where we had gone to see
egrets and butterflies, and there was one near the city park's pond where
we went to see the domestic ducks, mallards, and coots.

They really are beautiful! Congratulations on picking up a really cool
life bird (it was one for us, too!).
