Tweets, Saturday,10 Feb. I led a Yakima Valley Audubon Soc. trip to "L" NE
on the eastern outskirts of Moses Lake. There were no owls to be seen in the
brilliant sunshine at mid-day, so we caravaned north to the Waterville Plat
- a short detour - to see Snow Buntings. These were everywhere. Then, the
race was on back to Moses Lake for the promised Snowy Owls. Three were
obliging at 1630. One put on a special show by flying right over the
vehicles and landed a short distance away on an irrigation wheel. All
Auduboners were excited and I was relieved! Maybe, its best at low light
here, especially on sunny days...
