When sending email to anyone in the House or Senate be sure to place the
address of your residence (not the mailing address, if different) at the
top of your message. Otherwise the current action appears to throw the
message to the bit-bucket.

Also, email from people outside a representative's constituency tends to be
thrown to the bit-bucket.

Most representatives will not answer by return email. I've been told by
more than one House and Senate staff member that 'security' is the reason.
In asking how not sending out email preserves security (when I know they
use email internally) I've been told they don't know _how_ to send email,
only to read messages received.

And these people have our future in their hands...
