I recently received a message from a friend whose husband has developed a
new CD-ROM called Eastern Birds by Sight and Sound (under the title,
NatureWare). She wrote: "It came out in October and is for Mac only and
has 1700 pictures and 300 sounds. The brochure is on the web page
http://www.natureware.com and you can also download a demo program. It is
aimed at the beginner/intermediate level and is fun." He is apparently
working on one for the whole country for the Macintosh. The Peterson
CD-ROM of birds of North America is for Windows only.

Hope those of you who went to see the Skagit Co. Great Gray Owl enjoyed it.
I heard there were11 cars parked there Tuesday afternoon, and 6 yesterday
afternoon. Bud Anderson said he thought a few people pushed it a bit too
hard (moving closer to it for photography and flushing it again and again);
obviously not Tweeters.
