If you look at my pages, you'll see that my copyright notices
attached to photos link to a page which explains when I give
permission to copy my photos. You might consider using a
similar technique, otherwise I suspect you'll find yourself
explaining the conditions you impose upon use quite often.

I'm a digest subscriber only, but found your recent posting on the
web.

Thanks for your suggestions!
I haven't thought much about how to handle these kinds of questions
before. Yes, I ought to write a webpage about those conditions,
linked to the illustrations.

I don't know how Jerry Blinn got hold of the map. If I had a warning
linked to it, Jerry probably wouldn't know if someone mailed him the
map. Such a terms of use page should have an effect on the website
visitors, though. But, then again, I guess maps, more often than
pictures, are mailed around.

The fact is that both Fred's and my email addresses are printed
*onto the map itself*, and Jerry writes to TWEETERS mailinglist
stating in effect that he doesn't know how to find out which user
conditions apply, and without specifying exactly which map he is
referring to. Should I put a WARNING sign onto the map, as well?

I expect Jerry to get in touch directly now, if he has something to
ask ME.

:-)torivar.
