Irene,

I'm not a regular at the lake any more(tired old knees) but my sense is the
Mergansers began increasing when the City started trying to clean up the
lake, harvest milfoil etc. in 92-93. I once took a walk with Martin Muller
who made the observation that the dablers were decreasing and the divers
increasing as the water became clearer. It made some sense to me.
