Since the subject of Montlake Phil has been brought up again, does anyone
out there know what REALLY happened to our rare visitor? There have been
some nasty rumors going about saying he (she?) was netted for "scientific
observation" and that it may have died from the trama. If that is the
case, I would like to know what "right" anyone has to do such a thing on
property that doesn't (or does, for that matter) belong to them. It's
curious how there were all these threads about Phil, and then nothing. I
for one hope these rumors aren't true--but I've never heard anything
else. Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
