I dislike being stereotyped...

He seemed aware of what he was doing, after all he said he'd probably
alienated or offended some folks. Yep, he did just what he thought
he did - alienated and offended me.

I don't stereotype rural folks. I expect the same respect in return.

Yes - being sensitive to your environment is common sense. That's why
most birders are.

He stereotyped urban birders as being just the opposite, among other
things. He was chiding us for not being so, and for in essence being
ignorant.

Read it again.
