Quick note to anyone interested in preserving our forests -

The Sierra Club phone tree alerted us this evening that President Clinton will
be in town on Saturday, and a rally is going to be arranged to express support
for complete repeal of the salvage logging rider (logging without laws). Our
friend Patty Murray is said to be signing onto the Senate bill to repeal the
rider, and needs to see visible public support for her actions. The President
as well needs to see visibly how many people really do care about what's going
on in our forests at the hands of the timber industry.

The rally is scheduled for noon on Saturday at Westlake Center - Let's show our
broad-based support of repealing the rider.
