Yesterday at about 6:45AM I heard a load noise near my feeders. When I
checked I found a male sharpie sitting on a window sill inside my
breezeway. It started to beat itself against the window in an effort to
got out. I went out and slowly guided it to an open window. It looked
to be none the worse for the experience and did not put up a fuss when I
was near it.

This morning, about 8AM I heard a Steller's Jay putting up a big ruckus.
Upon investigating I saw a female sharpie sitting on a branch near a suit
feeder. It looked at me for a few seconds then flew off to a nearby fir
and just sat there. Now, as I sit here at my computer the female is back
on the branch showing no great concern about me. We are about 15 feet
apart and both of us keep an eye on the other. This has been going on
for the past 25 min.

I know I have been feeding and making pets out of the smaller birds, but
I didn't know I had a pet in a sharpie of two. I should have known, I
have been indirectly feeding them for a year now
