Joan Lucas of Pilchuck Audubon reports a Mockingbird hanging out just east of
Stanwood in Snohomish County. Take SR-532 from I-5 through Stanwood towards
Camano Island. Immediately after crossing the bridge linking Stanwood and the
mainland to Camano, exit left to Eide Road and stop at the first house --
large, white and abandoned. The Mockingbird hangs out with Robins in the
blackberries along the dike or in the house's yard. This area is acutally an
island still within Snohomish County. Camano itself is in Island County.
